Victims of abuse often suffer in silence, feeling isolated and helpless. It is important for victims to understand that they are not alone.

  •    In the US, a woman is abused every 52 seconds. (Uniform Crime Report 2009)

  •   In 2010, 142 Texas women were killed by a current or former partner. (Texas Council on Family Violence)

  •   Domestic Violence hotlines are a lifeline for victims in danger, providing support, information, safety planning and resources. In one 24 hour period, in the state of Texas, during 2011, 2250 hotline calls were received. (Texas Council on Family Violence)

  • Approximately 15.5 million children are exposed to domestic violence every year. (National Network to End Domestic Violence)

  •   Only 25% of Domestic Violence incidents are reported to the police. (National Coalition Against Domestic Violence)
