Donations
Kendall County Women's Shelter is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. That means your donations are tax deductible. We have many ways in which you can help Kendall County Women's Shelter. Your monetary donations help provide administrative support to run the shelter and your in-kind donations of goods go to the clients to help directly serve their immediate needs. At times we have to close the donation station early due to inclement weather or an abundance of donations that need to be processed. Please accept our apologies. Thank you for your donations!

8:00 am - 3:00 pm - Tuesday through Saturday
ACCEPTED ITEMS
We ask donors that all donations are gently used and clean.

Clothing: ladies', men's, and children's; preferably clean. No hangers, please.

Shoes, purses, belts, and jewelry

All household items including linens, dishes, pots & pans, glassware, collectibles, lamps, holiday items

Indoor and outdoor furniture

DVDs, CDs, VCR tapes, small electronics and records, books, magazines, and children’s items
We Do Not Accept:

Large household appliances (i.e., Water heaters, Kitchen Refrigerators, etc.)

Large items that do not work!

Mattresses and Box Springs (for hygiene reasons)

Sleeper Sofas

Building Materials (i.e., carpet, toilets, lumber, concrete, bricks, etc.)

Encyclopedias

Broken, Stained, or Torn Furniture

Large heavy Console Televisions

Baby Products/Consumer Product Safety Commission recalled items (Car seats, cribs, playpens, items that containing lead or phthalates)
