Our trauma-trained advocates are ready to assist individuals affected by domestic violence and those reaching out on their behalf. We provide free and confidential crisis intervention, safety planning, and support services for families and children impacted by domestic violence.

Yes. KCWS has the unique ability to provide safety in a 1,350 square foot pet shelter (up to four pets per family). Dogs, cats and other small pets (such as birds, reptiles, rodents, and rabbits) are welcome.
Clients are responsible for their pets' care while staying in the shelter (food is provided, as needed).
Arrangements for horses and other large animals must be made prior to entering the shelter and is subject to availability within the local network of equine organizations.
